The reading material that was suggested was highly informative as well as amusing, I lost count of the number of times I almost blew coffee out of my nose! Not only do I feel like I already know most of you, I look forward to what I am sure will be a wonderfully entertaining weekend!

FYI....Brad and I are not likely to arrive wearing either....
     Star Trek Uniforms
Saloon Girl Dresses (don't know what color the garter belt or her tonsils were WarsawDaddy ;)
Pink TuTu or TuTu of any other color

We are really looking forward to meeting you all!!! We are waiting to get our metal detector back from the shop...trying not to hold our breath until it gets back...well, we did, but then we both started turning blue and thought better of it ;)
Also very glad to know there will be other coffee drinkers! It is the one thing I miss when we go camping ;)
Let's go dig some history!

Burdie,

My statement about Jim Beam and fried apple pies was just a joke. laughing7  I know what the rules are reguarding alcholic drinks.  Its never been a problem before and I'm sure it won't be this time.  I'm sure the Rowdy Bunch can police itself quite well!

The box of stuff is from Garrett.  Thanks!!!

The headlights were donated by the infamous Annono Mouse.........

Working on some more prizes.

I won't be able to attend the hunt but I am sure going to try and help you all have a good time!!!!! icon_thumright

Being in the EMS Field for 15 years, I will make sure to have all the emergency first aid items for everyone.....

I thought about waders/rubber boots in case we walk the creek looking for old bottles.

Thanks for thinking of the first aid kit...normally the host of the hunt has that available in case of emergency.

Well here comes the party Pooper sorry. No alcohol in the fair building. The camp site will be tolerated but they asked that I worn you. The area is considered a public area which Public intoxication brings a fine and they are short on funds. The Mayor laughed but I know that to be true. No Alcohol at the hunt except Saturday night when we have the cookout. Please drink responsible. We want you to have fun and we have never had a problem before. We have the last chance saloon and a bar on main street. We have never come close to having a problem and this is to inform the new ones the rules. Thank you for making my job easy.  thumbsup

Burdie

Given the opportunity, I'd vote for a 'dry' (no alcohol) CTH III.

Well,I gotta say this because I'm thinkin' it.The only thing I drink anymore is a little amaretto in my coffee in the evenings.Never have liked beer, however,I do not see any harm in the A$$'s sitting around in the hot sun having a beer or two while their mates are out detecting. It was done at the Otterville and LBH hunt and no problem at all.If anything would have started to get out of hand,it would have been handled by several of us.Why is so many so scared? The only time something got a little loud was when one member over indulged on diet rockstar!Usually if someone is going to be obnoxcious after a beer, they will be obnoxcious without one.But everyone will adhere to the rules as always.

Well just got the sad news that the hunt in NC next week was cancelled.

Now it's time to start talking to the Warden and my mother to see if childcare can be arranged.  May be headed to Ks afterall, so you all might not be so lucky as to have me absent.......

Well I may as well get this over with.. I was going to go, had stuff packed and was counting days. I was coming with Cynangyl and misterbee.  Ok, yes, I said WAS. I am very sorry and very unhappy that my situation is not going to allow me to be there this year. I have developed complications from my surgery and will be having another just before time to come down for all the fun. I will not be able to make it down and apologize to all who I have talked to about it and for letting anyone down, if in fact that is the case.
I hope everyone has a blast,  and to those of you who I was looking so foward to meeting, there will be another time and another place.
Again, I am sorry and madder than um...heck. Yeah that is the word I was looking for.

Catch you all soon.

Wow, we're gonna be missing lots of fun, I can tell.  ME, so glad to see you might be able to make it after all!! Woo-Hoo!!  This just isn't the year for us, I'm afraid. Dan's having colon surgery next Tuesday, then a few weeks of recoup. Nothing major major, just irritatingly major.  And WSD and RR, you two kept us entertained tonight with your ballad films.  Good music!  We'll keep checking in and seeing who else just discovered they can come!  HH!!  Kiss Kiss - Noodle
