I gotta say, you folks really are awesome. I saw this and am touched beyond belief. Now I DID have a major surgery, but somehow I must have misspoken as to what it was I had surgery on, or somehow something got a little mixed up.

I had a MAJOR oral surgery....I do have a bad heart and in fact I live on merely 75% of mine and there was a deep concern that having to go under in the O.R. could have killed me. I was out for a couple of hours and had pieces of jawbone removed, broken, replaced, and all of my teeth pulled. I came out of it with absolutely NO heart complications and thank you all for your prayers. I did not have a good feeling and seriously believe those of you who had me in their thoughts and prayers are the biggest reason why I am alive today.
I am recovering pretty good and am just wishing for two things...I wish painkillers actually worked on me...but they don't so I am in a lot of pain....and secondly. I would like to EAT....not drink, my food.

Now just so you all know a little something about my heart. I have sleep apnea and I had not one but two heart attacks before the age of 40. The first killed the apex of my heart and it is nothing short of a miracle I am alive. Oddly enough, I did not know I had had that one until the second one struck.

If you know anyone who snores horribly, or stops breathing, gasps for breath etc. while they sleep, I EMPLORE you to ask them to get tested for sleep apnea. I am living proof that this does NOT just happen to OTHER PEOPLE. My life is forever changed, but at least God saw fit to keep me on this earth for some reason.

I guess my job here just is not finished.

I seriously love you all!!!!!!!!!

My bad bro, I assumed it was your heart that you were having the surgery for. I had no idea it was your jaw. Tongue
But all that matters is you are still with us & will be back swinging that detector in no time!! headbang

It is called a CPAP machine. I don't leave home without mine and a 12volt to 110 converter and extension cord. Kind of a pain in the butt, but it keeps me alive and I am used to it after having used it for 6 years. The converter and extension cord come in handy for camping too...And not once has the thing ever drained a car battery. Might want to pass this info on to your buddy!

Nashoba is the Chatah word for wolf.  I got that blood in my family and picked up on that when I saw his handle.  He's a regular guy and a pretty good ol boy.  So it's been a while, Nashoba...let us know what's up.  Now if you're dead and gone, no need to respond.  But if you do, we might make the banner!

Nashoba.  I hope you are well, and maybe getting used to a new set of teeth so that you can start eating again. Best wishes for your recovery.
