Hi,
   The coin totals were good for the year though I did worse in nickels(634 compared to 801 last year),dollars( 20 compared to 24),and gold rings (none compared to 6,it was a bad year for gold rings) and non prescious metal rings (36 compared to 44 last year). December was a let down because the ground was frozen on the 3rd and still is, it was cold in Texas where I found only 147 coins and I did'nt find much in Arizona (119 coins), though it was nice there. Here are my totals;
Cents; 4509(81 wheats, last year; 88) Last year; 4298
Nickels; 634 (1900 the oldest) Last year; 801
Dimes; 2805  last year; 2767 (oldest 1931-s)
Quarters; 3163 Last year; 2440  It was a good year for quarters, I set my one day record at 214. (oldest 1918-d) 1077 were states and teritorial quarters.
Half dollars; 5 (oldest 1943)                    Other rings; 36  Last year 44
Dollars; 20 Last year 24                           Tokens; 36  Last year 31
Foriegn coins; 36                                   keys; 46  last year  51
Oldest coin; a circa 1700 chinese marriage coin
Silver coins; 15, Last year; 16
Silver rings; 54  Last year;41
Other keepable items;207, Last year 248 including 2 I pods (this year)

Gold rings; 0  (Last year 6)
Total; 11,198 coins, Last year 10,435    I hope this year will be great for you and me both, Good Hunting, Kane 23

I'm not sure if there is a record in the Guinness book of world records of the most coins recovered in a year using a metal detector or not.  read2 However you would make a good candidate Cool

I've heard of someone finding over 38,000 in one year.

You need to redo your math, I found over $1000.00 in just dimes and quarters....Kane 23

Haha, make a mistake... that's a sure fire way to always get a response from someone!  Cheesy  I think I did not read how you wrote this years totals vs. last years properly.  Now I see it.  Either way, great going.   headbang

You didn't say how often you go detecting though.  dontknow

Your no slouch yourself. The weather here is bad, I hav'nt been able to detect for more than a week. I really loathe winter! Gas has gone way up, so it's to expensive to go south.   Kane23
