It was a relief on Sunday to get back in the swing of things and start finding the old. . . even if they were only 4 Wheat's from the '20's. In previous hunts at this site, I felt there was still hope in finding that elusive first silver of the year. During the past few days, through 7" of snow, on "all metal", I scored some non-ferrous trinkets that included several harmonica reeds, some horse tack, and a crotal bell. I knew that I was in the right place and it would be only a matter of time before I would find my first silver of the year.  Little did I know it would be at at Starbucks! A '64 Rosie in change while on the phone with Kimsdad. . . asking me if I wanted to hunt  So, does that count?  Probably not. So today I went back to this site and found my first LEGIT silver. . . a 1903 Barber dime   Happy hunting! |

Great job on the Barber and the wheats! Looks like rain this weekend, probably rain next weekend too with my luck. Looks like my next hunt won't be til April at this rate! Shucks.
