Hey Y'all...

Can anyone direct me to a website or published work where hallmarks are shown? I'm igg-nert about this, but interested.

I saw a full storage box of old silver flatware go for just $5 at a parking lot sale last weekend. (I was too late!) Might have been a score ~ wish I had immediately offered $10 (I overheard the transaction). Might have started a bidding war or fistfight, but didn't know if it was sterling or plated.

Anyhow, any points in the right direction are appreciated.

Robin

I appreciate the link ~~ in the favorites folder now.

Dunno about the silver.... the box was cherrywood, old and abused, heck, I'd have paid the $5 just for the box to refinish it, but the set was complete with all the serving utinsils included.

Oh well....

Thanks again.

Bluefin... Your words...

"I got one set with 71 pieces for $30 sold it for over a grand."

That's why I'm interested...

Thanks for the info folks, and the offers to help.
