Would a cargo ship during WWII have it's cargo listed on the Boston or New York shipping list? Would it tell about the sinking? How much did Uncle Sam censor these list during the war?

I don't think the Boston Shipping List was printed beyond 1887. And Uncle Sam censored quite a bit Wink
