This isn't actually a post nomination but seeing there are alot of newbies here, I don't know if you guys have done this before, but I would like to here from you guys on how this site came about and some of the trials and tribulations if there were any (just like treasure hunting). Maybe some stories from Jeff and the other moderators, but really it would be interesting to hear the story from the horses mouth such as who what why, you know what i mean, right?

Fantastic CACHE photos, and even though the value of the coins is not high, I think this one should go in the "Best of" section.  The sheer number of coins found deserves an honored place on the forum.

This has been clearly over looked for the Banner, maybe it will be reconsized as an all time best of...

The most votes I have seen without a banner.

Of course I think that a rare variety of a rare early US Half Dime belongs here in the Best of forum.  The 1795 Flowing Hair Half Dime I found back in March is variety LM-3; less than 50 known to exist worth in excess of $6K. I have only seen three other 1795 Half Dimes posted, and none are as rare as the LM-3.

in 1980  I was digging behind a old apartment building that I was living at in Fort lauderdale Fla, I found a large pile of cannon balls unaware of the worth of them i covered them back up. I hope to return to get them soon just a long way to go get them. I'm sure they are still there
